Promptathon #1
So it's finally here! The long awaited 25th prompt blow out! XD Well, maybe it's not that amazing, but it's a nice show that I managed to stick with something for so long, though the real accomplishment will come in 75 more prompts/weeks - that will be truly amazing on my behalf. As for the here and now, let's get started with...
FF_Yuri_Drabble's First Ever Promptathon!
So how does it work?
1. You leave a comment to this post, either anonymously or signed in (totally up to you), with a fandom, a pairing, and a prompt (refer to the rules for more info on this). So it should look like this -
FFVIII, Quistis/Fujin, fear
2. Wait for someone to write your request.
3. Write other people's requests while you wait!
It's that easy! Seriously! 0.0
Best part? Everyone's welcome to participate! Whether they're a member or not! :D

Rules -
-This a drabble community, so when you fill out a request, make sure it's with a drabble! Drabbles are less then 500 words as defined by me. Use this very easy to use word counter to help!
-Normally for this comm, I ask that drabbles be of a certain amount of words, either 200, 300, etc, but for this promptathon THAT RULE IS TOTALLY SUSPENDED! I only ask for your drabble to be a minimum of a 100 words (with a maximum of 500 words)! After that, write 101, write 325, write 498 word drabbles! I don't care! Go crazy!
-If a particular prompt really inspires you and you go over the 500 maximum, post it to your own journal (preferably not in a F-locked entry, plz and ty) and leave a link in a reply to the original prompt.
-Let's keep 'I second that prompt!' to one a prompt. x.x Don't make Bat (ie, me) annoyed. Multiple 'I second that!' for a particular prompt will be deleted.
-Prompt as many times as you want! Just try to keep prompting to three times in a row, then go read a magazine, and then feel free to come back and prompt some more. And please do try to write at least drabble for someone else.
-You can leave prompt/requests in any of these styles:
FFVIII, Quistis/Fujin, fear
FFVIII, author's choice, fear
Any, any, fear
-Your prompt can be a lyric, a quote, a word, or even a situation (ie, Celes is learning to cast magic and Terra helps her).
And the most important rule!
-Have fun and pimp this out far and wide! :D
This promptathon will run for two weeks, so October 20th, we'll go back to our regularly scheduled show! Members can still post drabbles in the community that relate to past prompt challenges while this runs (if they want). ^_^

Re: 500 words --my first FFXII fic!
OOOOOHHHH!!!! Quivering, arching like a bow, my, my, my!

Lovely sport, I've been to a few archery competitions and have always made it a point to get as close as possible when archers, whether male or female, are pulling back to loose their arrows. The way the arms lift and the shoulder blades move, the looks of concentration on their faces...yep. I dig it. A lot. The world doesn't exist for them anymore, not when they're focused like that.

And until I read this, I wondered if they applied that concentration to 'everything' else. If they're all like Fran, then I might have to attend a few more tournaments.

Re: 500 words --my first FFXII fic!
I'm not like Fran, but there is certainly a body-magic to archery that I miss. I need to get back into it. There's so much tension in holding the arrow back, keeping the body aligned with the bow straining against you, yet the secret is learning to let go without any extraneous movement. It's not like Hollywood where actors flourish their hands with a fancy pluck that we always have to unlearn when we start! Fran's manner in the game was perfect for an archer -- she was so strong, but so quiet in herself, so grounded.
